(She/Her)
There can be a moment that catches us, where we realize something isn't how we'd like it to be. Maybe the feeling is sharp—a loss, a relationship ending, a significant hurt. Or sometimes it can be in quieter discomforts—an argument with your partner that is repeating, feeling unfulfilled with work or in relationships, or just a persisting feeling of unease, confusion, or heaviness.
It can feel like being stuck moving in circles. Being aware that you want something else or something more, but maybe not knowing what you need or how to give it to yourself.
Growth is like a spiral. We circle back to the things that aren’t how we’d like them to be, but the place that we see them from changes each time we bring our attention to them. Getting deeper, and more connected to ourselves in each return.
Therapy gives us a way to see ourselves, making us aware of why we act and think the way we do. Allowing us to have more choice and freedom in how we respond to life, in our relationships, in being with ourselves, and in accepting who we are. Feeling stuck isn’t a sign that something is wrong with us—it’s a signal to live closer to what we need and who we are.
My Approach
My approach is to help you hear yourself clearly, to build a sense of security within that allows you to find yourself in whatever situation you're in, and to feel that you can consciously choose your response to your life rather than only react to it.
We will do this by slowing down enough to hear what you're actually feeling, and by bringing curiosity to how your past may be shaping the way you respond in the present. We'll gently question the thoughts and patterns that are driving things or causing you suffering, and keep returning to the question: What do you need?
This work is a collaboration. I listen closely to understand your world, and I trust that what you bring on a given day is what we're meant to be working through in that moment.
Therapy is about what we talk about as much as how we work through the experiences that leave us tangled inside. I bring warmth, patience, and presence to our time together — and some laughter, because that's part of living too.
